Spectrum Packaging has designed and developed our own 3D Technical Innovation Management software.

Our software combines packaging engineering elements such as; board selection, thickness, creases, folds, the weight of the product and other technical components with full-colour graphic artwork and print design elements in a 3D visual format.

This provides our clients with a 3D computer-generated visual representation of the package and components to evaluate and discuss prior to expensive production prototypes.

In the development process of a package, the TIM software can also replicate a bottle profile or package profile (from specifications supplied), presenting a ‘ virtual ‘ 3 D image of the component inside the package. This allows our clients to evaluate and review at a very early stage of package development and allows product fit and various clearances and tolerances to be confirmed.

At this stage of visual development, some graphic design and print elements can be applied to illustrate the branding on the package, assisting marketing managers and designers with final print components, positions and dimensions.

This in house program is especially useful for innovation and package development for first time packaging projects, promotional packaging or custom packagings such as Wine Boxes, Whisky packaging, Beer packaging, Cosmetics, Personal Care, Pharmaceutical packages, Electronic products packaging and Food packaging.
